Solid Phenolic (occasionally referred to as Compact Laminate) is a resin and paper fusion, coated with melamine. This combination creates a very sturdy panel that is very thick, and cannot delaminate. The melamine coating on top of the paper/resin combination allows for safe customization with reassurance that durability will be maintained.

Last week, we mentioned the opposing Solid Plastic partition carrying an imperability to water and vocalized that as one of the key advantages of purchase. Phenolic carries a similar characteristic in fact, it is very highly recommended in high traffic areas where moisture is a prevalent issue. This is not to say that it is an immediate direct replacement for Solid Plastic, but it provides the opportunity to better fit your surrounds thanks to the aforementioned customization advantage. Durability is something that a Solid Phenolic stall can be guaranteed to have. Their resin based hollow core is incredibly durable and this is the only toilet material with this core.
