Two Stalls — Left Corner

left corner two stalls quote form template

In a two stall, left corner layout, the first toilet partition is constructed against the left facing wall and back wall (the "left corner"), with the second toilet partition being built to the right of the stall residing in the left corner. The doors for the toilet partitions will usually open inward to the left (or have a left-hand inswing) when installed correctly.

Two Stalls — Right Corner

For a two stall, right corner layout, the first bathroom partition is installed against the right facing wall and the back wall (the "right corner"), with the second bathroom partition being built immediately to the left of the stall that sits in the right corner. In a right corner configuration, the doors for the bathroom partitions will open inward to the right (or have a right-hand inswing) when installed properly.

Three Stalls —
Left Corner

A three stall, left corner layout is installed and constructed similarly to a two stall left corner layout; the first restroom partition is built and installed against the left and back wall (the left corner). The second and third restroom partitions are built directly to the right of the stall that lies in the left corner. The doors in a three stall layout usually have a left-handed inswing in a proper installation.

Three Stalls —
Right Corner

The three stall right corner layout predictably carries a similar construction to the two stall, right corner configuration. The first stall is built against the the right and back wall, or the right corner. The second and third bathroom partitions are built to the right of that corner stall. Stall doors will open inward to the right, or have a right-handed inswing in most cases.

Left Alcove

left alcove quote form template

A left alcove is installed against the left wall and back wall, or the left corner. Toilet partition doors will open inward, and to the left (left-handed inswing). Alcoves differ from corner units in that the entry to the stall is parallel to the side wall as opposed to the back wall.

Right Alcove

A right alcove is installed against the right wall and back wall, or the right corner. The bathroom partition doors will open inward and to the right, forming a right-handed inswing.

Left Alcove with
Corner Units

Alcoves can have additional corner units attached to them in a project; similar to single alcove units, an alcove unit attached with corner units will still have a point of entry that is parallel to the side wall. Stalls are installed to the right of the alcove unit, parallel to the side wall.

Right Alcove with
Corner Units

In these situations, the alcove unit is set against the right wall, and regular-sized in corner units are constructed to the left of the alcove unit. All units in a right alcove + corner will have doors that are a right-handed inswing. The door of the alcove unit will rest parallel to the side wall as opposed to the back wall.

ADA Left Corner and Between Walls

In this layout, a large toilet partition will be installed against the left and back walls (left corner) -- this initial partition is to be compliant with ADA standards such that a wheelchair can be reasonably used inside of it. To the right of that are regular toilet partitions. The two regular stalls will have a left-handed inswing; however, the ADA stall will have a right-handed outswing.

ADA Right Corner and Between Walls

The large toilet partition in this layout is to be installed against the right and back walls (right corner), and will have appropriate dimensions that make it ADA compliant.
